How to Ship with Perplexity Logistics

1. Define the Lane & Service Level

Specify:

• Full origin address (with dock or lift-gate needs).
• Full destination address and receiving hours.
• Target delivery date or acceptable window.
• Mode preference: parcel, LTL, FTL, air, or ocean.

2. Cargo Data (Dimensions & Weight)

Provide per SKU or per handling unit:

• Length, width, height (same unit system throughout).
• Actual and dimensional weight for air.
• Stackable or non-stackable, and if crated or loose cartons.
• Total piece count and total shipment weight.

3. Commodity & Value

• Plain-language product description and intended use.
• HS code if you have one (optional but helpful internationally).
• Commercial value for customs and insurance discussions.
• Temperature control or orientation requirements, if any.

4. Commercial Terms & Risk

Note whether you ship ex-works, FOB, DAP, or another commercial arrangement. We align carrier liability and insurance suggestions with how risk transfers in your sale—your counsel and finance team should still validate INCOTERMS choices.

5. Insurance & Liability

Decide if you need cargo insurance beyond carrier minimums. Share any prior claims experience on similar lanes so we can advise on packaging or carrier selection.

6. Labels, Documents & Compliance

• Attach or describe existing BOL templates or SSCC labels.
• For export: commercial invoice, packing list, and ECCN/export control flags if applicable.
• For import: importer of record details and any broker contacts.

7. Book & Confirm

Once you accept a written quote, we issue pickup instructions and tracking references. Changes to weight, dimensions, or addresses after booking may trigger rate adjustments—notify us as early as possible.
